Ring Central - How to setup and send Email-to-Fax
Setting up Email-to-Fax
- Go to the Admin Portal and sign in.
- Go to More > Account Settings > General Settings
- Turn the button on under Email-to-Fax.
- Check the box to acknowledge the email domain meets RingCentral system requirements.
- Click Turn on.
Turning Email-to-Fax for other users
- Go to the Admin Portal and sign in.
- Go to Users > User list > Users with Extensions
- Select the user.
- Go to Outbound Calls/Faxes > Fax Settings.
- Check the box to Allow this user to send faxes using Email-to-fax.
- To authorize more email addresses to send faxes, go to Faxes Sent via Email.
- Enter the email address in the text box provided and click Add. You can add up to 25 email addresses to a user's trusted list.
- Check the box to acknowledge the email domain meets RingCentral system requirements.
- Click Add.
- Click Save.
Adding email addresses for fax as a user
- Go to the Admin Portal and sign in.
- Go to Settings > Outbound Calls/Faxes > Fax Settings.
- To add email addresses, go to Faxes Sent via Email.
- Enter the email address in the text box and click Add. You can add up to 25 email addresses.
- Check the box to acknowledge the email meets RingCentral system requirements.
- Click Add.
- Click Save.
Sending a fax by email
Before you send a fax by email:
- If your company admin has turned on Email-to-fax, you can send up to 50 faxes at a time. You'll need to turn on fax broadcasting to send a fax to more than 50 recipients.
- Before sending a fax by email, ensure you’ve set up your email address.
Sending a fax by email
- Sign in to your company email account.
- Compose a new email
- To send a fax to:
- 50 or fewer recipients: In the To field, enter the phone number as you would dial it, followed by @rcfax.com (e.g., 18005551212@rcfax.com). Use a semicolon and a space between recipients’ names.
- 50 or more recipients: In the To field, enter the phone number as you would dial it, followed by @rcfaxbroadcast.com (e.g., 18005551212@rcfaxbroadcast.com).
- To include a cover page note, enter it in the Subject field.
- Select attachments from your computer. Note: All file attachments must be in supported formats and less than 50 MB.
- Leave the body of the email empty. Delete any signatures, images, and footnotes.
- .Send your email.
