
Call Flip allows you to move an active call from one device to another without hanging up. For example, you can transfer a call from the RingCentral app to your mobile phone, home office phone, or another assigned number.

RingCentral provides two different ways to move an active call between devices: Call Switch and Call Flip. While both allow you to continue a conversation on another device, they work differently and are designed for different situations.

Call Switch allows you to move an active call from one RingCentral device or app to another by opening the second device and "pulling" the call to it.


A user is speaking with a customer on their desk phone but needs to leave for a meeting. They open the RingCentral mobile app, tap Call Switch, and continue the conversation from their smartphone while walking away from their desk.


Call Flip allows you to transfer or "push" an active call to another phone number by dialing a preassigned single-digit code.
A user is finishing a call at their desk and needs to leave the office. They initiate a Call Flip from their desk phone, answer the incoming call on their mobile phone, and continue the conversation without disconnecting the customer.
