RingCentral - How to setup Hot Desking

To setup Hot Desking in RingCentral does not requires a license but there is a charge for 911 and taxes. Below is the setup procedure. 
  1. Go to Phone System 
  2. Go to Phones and Devices
  3. Go to Unassigned
  4. Select Phone 
  5. Lower right hand side select Convert to Hot Desk Phone
  6. Change Phone Nickname and hit next
  7. Setup 911 and Acknowledge for Tax and 911 charges
  8. Save
How to See Hot Desk Phones Already Configured
  1. Go to Phone System 
  2. Go to Phones and Devices
  3. Go to Common Area Phones
How to setup Hot Desk Session Timeout
  1. Go to More
  2. Go to Security and Compliance
  3. Go to Hot Desk Session Timeout
  4. Change Time

Logging in to a Common Phone for Hot Desking
You can sign in to a Hot Desk phone in two ways:

1. Press the “Login” soft key on a Hot Desk phone / Common Phone. Enter Extension and PIN after prompts.
2. Dial *90 on a Hot Desk phone / Common Phone.

The phone will reboot to register with the new User's information. 
If the phone does not automatically reboot, reboot the phone manually. 
The User will be prompted to enter the extension number and the pin.
