How to Check if a User Has Call Recording Enabled (RingCentral) 
  1. How to Set Up Call Recording in RingCentral

    1. Log into the Admin Portal
    2. Go to Users
    3. Select the User you want to configure
    4. Click Settings & Permissions
    5. Scroll to Automatic Call Recording (ACR)
    6. Click Edit

    Configure the following:

    • Automatic Call Recording: Enable or Disable
    • Inbound Calls: On / Off
    • Outbound Calls: On / Off
    • Recording Type:
      • Automatic (always records)
      • On-demand (user presses record)
    • Play Announcement: (for compliance)
    • Save Location: Cloud storage (default)
    1. Click Save

    ๐ŸŽฏ On-Demand Call Recording (User-Controlled)

    If you donโ€™t want all calls recorded:

    1. Disable Automatic Call Recording
    2. Users can:
      • Press Record during a call in the app or desk phone
      • Start/stop recording manually

    โš™๏ธ Account-Wide Settings (Optional)

    1. Go to Admin Portal โ†’ Phone System โ†’ Auto-Receptionist โ†’ General Settings
    2. Look for Call Recording Settings
    3. Configure:
      • Default behavior for all users
      • Announcement settings
      • Storage duration

    • Go to Admin Portal โ†’ Call Log โ†’ Recordings
    • Or in the RingCentral App โ†’ Phone โ†’ Call History
  2. How to Check if a User Has Call Recording Enabled (RingCentral)

    1. Go to Users
    2. Select the User
    3. Open User Details
    4. Navigate to Settings & Permissions
    5. Locate Automatic Call Recording (ACR)
    6. Click Edit

    From there, you can verify:

    • Inbound Call Recording
    • Outbound Call Recording
    • Overall ACR (Automatic Call Recording) status
