How to Check if a User Has Call Recording Enabled (RingCentral)
How to Set Up Call Recording in RingCentral
๐ง Admin Setup (Recommended)

Log into the Admin Portal
-
Go to Users
-
Select the User you want to configure
-
Click Settings & Permissions
-
Scroll to Automatic Call Recording (ACR)
-
Click Edit
-
Automatic Call Recording: Enable or Disable
-
Inbound Calls: On / Off
-
Outbound Calls: On / Off
Recording Type:
-
Automatic (always records)
-
On-demand (user presses record)
-
Play Announcement: (for compliance)
-
Save Location: Cloud storage (default)
-
Click Save

If you donโt want all calls recorded:

Disable Automatic Call Recording
Users can:
-
Press Record during a call in the app or desk phone
-
Start/stop recording manually

Go to Admin Portal โ Phone System โ Auto-Receptionist โ General Settings

Look for Call Recording Settings
Configure:

Default behavior for all users

Announcement settings
-
Storage duration

Or in the RingCentral App โ Phone โ Call History

Go to Users
-
Select the User
-
Open User Details
-
Navigate to Settings & Permissions
-
Locate Automatic Call Recording (ACR)
-
Click Edit
From there, you can verify:

Inbound Call Recording
-
Outbound Call Recording
-
Overall ACR (Automatic Call Recording) status
